The 69th National Conference of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (7th to 10th December 2023), set against the backdrop of the Amrit Mahotsav Varsh, marks a significant milestone in the journey of the ABVP. The conference, hosted in the vibrant Indraprastha Nagar in the National Capital Delhi serves as a dynamic platform for young minds to converge, deliberate, and chart the course for the future. This year’s conference takes on added significance with the commencement of the Hindvi Swarajya Yatra, a monumental journey celebrating 350 years of the Rajya Abhishek (coronation) of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Embarking on the 28th of November from the Swarajya capital Kille Raigarh, the Yatra will culminate in Delhi on the 7th of December, symbolising a pilgrimage of unity and shared history. An impressive gathering of over 8000 students and youth from every corner of Bharat is anticipated, reflecting the diverse tapestry of voices that ABVP represents. The conference serves as a democratic forum where resolutions on pivotal issues concerning education and society will be discussed and passed. This year, the spotlight is on fostering deep discussions to bring about substantial changes in the education system. Education, a cornerstone for societal progress, will be a focal point, with attendees engaging in insightful conversations to shape the future of learning in the country. Among the significant elements of the conference is the Prof. Yashwant Rao Kelkar Youth Award. This prestigious award recognizes the commendable contributions of youth who has made a significant impact on society through their outstanding work. It serves as a beacon, highlighting the potential of the youth in driving positive change and societal development. Further enriching the conference experience is the Shobha Yatra and Open Conference. Karyakartas of ABVP, forming a grand chain, will embark on a Shobha Yatra, walking from the conference venue to open conference location. This visually striking display, with subgroups representing different zones of Bharat, symbolises the unity of the diverse cultural fabric of the nation. The Open conference allows active engagement of public through youth leader addresses, fostering discussions on education and societal issues, aligning with ABVP’s commitment to transparent and inclusive decision-making. The conference venue itself is a testament to the grandeur of the occasion. Transforming into a tent city, the entire infrastructure – from the conference halls to eating and sleeping arrangements – will be seamlessly integrated into one space. This consolidation enhances the sense of community and purpose, fostering an environment where ideas can flow freely and collaborations can flourish. This unique setup not only streamlined logistics but also reinforces the ethos of togetherness that underpins the ABVP’s mission. The conference of Amrit Mahotsav Varsh creates a tapestry woven with historical reverence, cultural celebration and a forward-looking vision for the youth. It is more than an assembly; it is a collective endeavor to channel the energy and enthusiasm of the youth towards constructive nation-building. As the conference, unfolds, it not only encapsulates the spirit of the times but also propels the ABVP forward on its journey of empowering youth and shaping the destiny of Bharat.
